| Sadler's is mentioned as the place of Thomas Spitty (buried at Great Burstead in 1823). He was the father of Thomas Spitty of Billericay who in turn was the father of Thomas Jenner Spitty of Billericay. From ERO deeds, a pedigree in the Pescod Collection at the Society of Genealogists, and it also features in a 1917 Sale catalogue of the Spitty Estates in the ERO. |
