This Indenture made this first day of May Anno Domini one thousand seven hundred and thirteen and in the twelfth year of the reign of our Sovereign Lady Anne by the grace of the Queen of Great Britain France & Ireland Defender of the Faith &c.,

Between Capt. Coenraat Elmendorf of the Corporation of Kingston in the County of Ulster & province of New York in America & Jacobus Elmendorf of the town of Hurley in said County of Ulster of the one part and Stephanus Gacherie of Kingston aforesaid of the other part

Now this Indenture Witnesseth that the said Coenraat Elmendorf & Jacobus Elmendorf for & in consideration of a certain sum of two hundred & five pounds current money of New York to them or one of them in hand payd before the ensealing and delivery of these presents by the said Stephanus Gacherie the receipt whereof they do hereby acknowledge and thereof and therefrom & of & from every part and parcel of thereof do acquit exonerate release & forever discharge the said Stephanus Gacherie his heirs executors administrators and assigns by these presents Have given granted bargained and sold released ratified and confirmed and by these presents do freely clearly and absolutely give grant and sell release ratify and confirm unto the said Stephanus Gacherie his heirs and assigns forever

all that certain house & lott of ground situate lying and being in Bridge Street in the town of Kingston aforesaid and on the North side of the same being bounded to the North by the ground of Major Johanis Wynkoop & Benjamin Smedes
to the East by the lott of Onie (Annie?) Lagransie
to the South by the Street and to the West by the lott of the heirs of Jacobus Mendorf late of Kingston deceased

To have & to hold the said house & lott of ground & premises with all & singular the privileges benefits advantages comoditys profits hereditaments backside easements & appurtenances thereto belonging or therewith used occupied & injoyed as part parcel or member of the same unto him the said Stephanus Gacherie his heirs & assigns forever And to the only proper use benefit & behoof of him the said Stephanus Gacherie his heirs & assigns forever

And the said Coenraat Elmendorf & Jacobus Elmendorf do hereby for themselves their heirs executors & administrators covenant promise grant and agree to & with the said Stephanus Gacherie his heirs and assigns forever by these presents that they the said Coenraat Elmendorf & Jacobus Elmendorf at the time of the ensealing & delivery of these presents are and stand wholly & lawfully seized in and possessed of all & every the above granted premises & that they have in themselves good right full power and lawful authority to grant bargain & sell the above granted premises and every part and parcel thereof

And lastly that the said granted and bargained premises at the time of the ensealing and delivery of these presents are free & clear & freely & clearly acquitted & discharged of and from all & all manner of former grants bargains sales gifts mortgages leases jointures dowers title of dowers and of and from all manner of troubles & incumbrances whatsoever had made done committed or suffered by them the said Coenraat Elmendorf & Jacobus Elmendorf or by any other person and persons whatsoever

In witness whereof the partys first above named to this present Indenture have hereunto put their hands & seales the day and year above written

The within written Deed of Conveyance was sealed & delivered for the use therein mentioned by the within named Coenraat Elmendorf & Jacobus Elmendorf

Then appeared before me Evert Wynkoop Esq. Justice of the Peace for the County of Ulster Coenraat Elmendorf & Jacobus Elmendorf acknowledged the within written Deed to be their real act and deed
